She brings a unique authority to the stage, combining her background as the 2010 WNBF (World National Bodybuilding Federation) "Ms. Figure Universe" champion with executive leadership experience.  She holds an Executive MBA in Global Management and served nine years on the Kansas Governor’s Council on Wellness, including three years as Council Chair.

 

Candice’s extensive speaking portfolio includes Advent Health's Living in Vitality Conference, the United Methodist Health Ministry Fund’s annual retreat, and the Church of Resurrection Beloved Women’s conference.

 

Candice works with clients internationally and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  When she isn't speaking or working out, Candice is likely traveling the globe, having already visited over 30 countries – and she would love to add YOUR town and YOUR event to her future travel schedule!

As for Me and My Body

Change is not one-dimensional, and neither is fitness.  Permanent change of any kind begins within.  It requires a complete transforming of your mind and spirit, not just your body.  In 'As for Me and My Body,' Candice will teach you fundamental wellness principles and give you practical tips to transform to truly fit.  Meaning you will learn how to unlock optimal performance to transform physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Strength Train to Age Gracefully

Did you know adults lose more than half a pound of muscle every year after age 30?  This muscle loss leads to a 5% reduction in metabolic rate every decade—unless you strength train.  This gradual decrease in metabolism is closely related to the increase in body fat that often accompanies aging.  Therefore, strength training is critical to unlocking optimal performance because it shapes and defines your body’s composition, boosts your metabolic function, and reduces your risk of injury.   In other words, strength training will help you age gracefully.

In this interactive session of 'Strength Train to Age Gracefully,' you will learn the importance of strength training and why you should use more than the scale to monitor your progress.  You'll also perform strength training exercises that require zero or minimal equipment.
