Margo McDonald has a passion to make a difference in the lives of women, and delights in sparking creativity in young married women, singles, business women, carpooling moms, and empty nesters. Margo inspires women to live a life of beauty and joy in their homes.
As a wife and mother, she relates to women of her generation by encouraging an easygoing lifestyle while keeping family "top priority." Women of every generation relate to Margo because she speaks to a special place in the hearts of all women.
She teaches how to make one's home a very special and lovely place. Audiences appreciate her specific tips and enthusiastic encouragement in the areas of entertaining, easygoing lifestyle, and introducing new traditions for families and singles.
As a hospitality specialist, Margo keeps everything simple but sensational – from sprucing up your home with paint and imagination to the simplest of recipes. Audiences are delighted when Margo shares recipes that are so simple they can even be prepared in the car on the way to a party!
Talented and vivacious, Margo is an interior designer who works with noted interior designer and Christian speaker and author Ann Platz (who also happens to be her mother!). Margo has made a name for herself with her many design projects and numerous television appearances, including HGTV's 2001 "Living With Color" special presentation.
Margo's design projects include various "show homes" and private residences throughout the southeast, Texas, and Washington, D.C. Her design work has also appeared in Southern Living Magazine, Atlanta Magazine, Traditional Home Magazine, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyle, and A Southern Belle Primer (Doubleday).
She has appeared on television as a guest on "Atlanta Live," "The Joni Show," "Make Your Day Count," "Movieguide Award Show," "Living with Color," and on Turner South's "Southern Living Presents Holiday-Styled Interiors."
Margo's passion is to see women walk in freedom and develop a new sense of creativity as they use their God-given gifts and talents that Margo helps bring to light through her messages. Most importantly, Margo encourages women to reach their families and friends through creative hospitality bathed in love.
Margo offers a range of topics appropriate for general audiences of women, corporate audiences, interior designers, women's ministry, and very special presentations for Christmas events.
